Laryssa Anger

Laryssa is new to Rockhampton but not to the theatre world. Having grown up in Canada and sharing her passion between theatre, art and dance, Laryssa was bound to end up in the theatre world somehow. Previously a teacher in the arts, but most recently taking on the role of mum, Laryssa joined the RJE team in 2021. She started as an apprentice, learning about construction and the set design process, and is now taking on the administration role along with some design and much of the painting jobs.

She is keen on directing and choreographing local shows, with a strong emphasis on young people in theatre.

Her favourite musical to design and direct with young performers has been is Seussical.
